Book Review – We’ll Always Have Christmas by Jenny Hale

Title: We’ll Always Have Christmas

Author: Jenny Hale

Release Date: 29th September 2017

Rating: 4 stars

After such a harrowing read as ‘A Little Life’ I needed to read something lighter, so what could be better than this lovely festive read by Jenny Hale.

My first Christmas read of the year, ‘We’ll Always Have Christmas’ is the perfect read to get you in the mood for the festive season. A heartwarming story with family values at its heart, this is an easy read and the perfect book to curl up with on a cold winter evening.

It may be a little predictable at times, but that doesn’t really matter as this story does exactly what it sets out to do. It leaves you with a lovely warm glow and the feeling that all is right with the world. Perfect escapism for when you want to put the real world aside for a few hours and just relax and unwind.

‘We’ll Always Have Christmas’ is a story about the importance of family that evokes the nostalgia and magic of Christmas past, making you feel like you’re being enveloped in a warm, comfy hug.  I found myself smiling my way through this simply delightful story that I didn’t want to end.

A heartwarming festive read that I highly recommend. 4 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of this lovely book.
