My Review:
Someone Like Me is a difficult book to review without giving anything away. I think the less you know about it when you start reading the more you will enjoy it. It has many twists and turns along the way, with some genuinely shocking moments that take the story in directions you never would have expected.
Suffice to say I absolutely loved this book! M. R. Carey is a fantastic story teller and his characters are complex and fascinating, making you want to read long into the night. In all honesty I struggled to put this book down, it kept me enthralled from beginning to end!
To say more would risk giving something away and this is a story you really don’t want to spoil. All I will say is that if you’re already a fan of M. R. Carey’s work you will not be disappointed. And if you’re new to his work this book will completely blow you away! A highly recommended and brilliant read.
