My Review:

Someone Is Lying by Jenny Blackhurst is a fantastic page turner of a psychological thriller that keeps you guessing throughout. With twists and turns aplenty this book kept me enthralled from the very first page right through to the last.

Ten months ago Erica Spencer died in a tragic accicdent at a Halloween party. But now someone is saying it wasn’t an accident and have set up a weekly podcast to prove that someone from the party is lying and Erica’s death was a murder. The anonymous podcast names the Severn Oaks Six, who are all neighbours in a prestigious gated community and were all present on the night of the party. What secrets are these six suspects hiding? And what really happened to Erica on that fateful night?

The story moves along at a cracking pace, with short, sharp chapters that keep you turning pages long into the night. I was intrigued by these characters right from the start and with the twists coming thick and fast, secrets slowly start to be revealed, until we reach the final shocking denouement.

Someone Is Lying is the kind of book I love. A psychological thriller that delves into the lives of a community of people, peeling back the layers one by one until all of their secrets lie exposed.

I read this book in two sittings as it was so addictive that once started I could not put it down. A brilliantly dark and gripping tale of secrets and lies that I thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommended.
