I’m pleased to welcome you today to my stop on the blog tour for gripping psychological thriller She by H C Warner. Thank you to Jessica Lee and HQ for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

About the book:

She’s everything he dreamed of. Isn’t she?

Ben can’t believe his luck when Bella walks into his life, just when he needs her most. Sexy, impulsive and intelligent, Bella is everything he ever wanted. And Bella wants him. All to herself.

In fact, Bella decides that everything is better when it is just the two of them, making it harder for Ben’s friends and family to stay in touch. And then a sudden tragedy triggers a chain of events which throws Ben headlong into a nightmare.

Secrets, lies, vengeance and betrayal are at the heart of this utterly twisted story about a family that is destroyed when SHE becomes part of it…

My Review:

She by H C Warner is one of those books that it’s best to go into without knowing too much about, something I seem to be saying more and more often these days. Which, of course, makes it even more difficult to review, but I’ll do my best to do it justice without giving too much away!

Ben can’t believe his luck when the beautiful Bella walks into his life, at a time in his life when he needs her the most. But is there more to this perfect woman than at first meets the eye? Is she too good to be true? And what, exactly, are her true intentions towards Ben? And then when a sudden tragedy triggers a chain of shocking events, Ben finds himself falling headlong into a nightmare…

The first half of the story is told from Ben’s point of view as he meets and falls in love with who he believes will be the love of his life. But then half way through, the story switches to Bella’s point of view, seeing the same events but through her eyes instead of Ben’s. I thought this worked incredibly well, adding to the intrigue and suspense of this fast paced psychological thriller, that’s filled to the brim with the kind of twists and turns that make this genre of book such a great read.

She is a dark and disturbing tale that once started is impossible to put down. Ben is completely taken in by the beautiful Bella, who is a very different person on the inside to the one she shows to the outside world. There are shocks and surprises throughout, taking the story in directions we never would have expected, leading to a denouement I did not see coming! This is the kind of book that grips you from the outset, leaving you breathless as you try to work out what’s going to happen next.

A taut, gripping thriller, She by H C Warner is a book that I thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend.

She by H C Warner is available to buy in ebook form now and in paperback on January 23rd: Amazon UK
