For my second post of the day I’m pleased to welcome you to my stop on the blog tour for the poignant and beautifully written Maybe One Day by Debbie Johnson. Thank you to Alainna from Orion Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this lovely book.
About the book:
What if you had the chance to find a lost love?
Jess still thinks about the man who disappeared from her life seventeen years ago, and the tragedy that tore them apart. So when she discovers a hidden box of letters in her mother’s attic, Jess realises that the truth about why he walked away has been kept from her all this time.
Jess sets out to follow the faded postmarks across the country, determined that her journey will bring her closer to him. As each clue falls into place, Jess discovers new things about herself – and the man who once broke her heart. Maybe she can find him. Maybe their love story isn’t over.
Maybe one day, they will be together again…

My Review:
Maybe One Day by Debbie Johnson is a beautifully written and poignant story of lost love that’s overflowing with a sense of hope and new beginnings. It is an exceptional read that captured my imagination from the very first page and didn’t let go until the final, heartachingly moving page had been turned – and I loved every word of it!
Jess has never forgotten the man who disappeared from her life seventeen years ago, so when she discovers a hidden box of letters in her mother’s attic, she’s shocked to discover the truth of why he walked away from her so abruptly. Determined to put things right Jess sets out on a journey that takes her across the country, with each new clue bringing her closer to the man who once broke her heart. But not only will this journey lead Jess to her lost love, it will also teach her things about herself that she would never have expected it to.
Maybe One Day is an emotional rollercoaster of a read that takes you on a journey that encompasses everything from laugh out loud funny moments to desperately sad and heartbreaking events that are filled with a poignancy that take your breath away. With a cast of characters you can’t help but fall in love with, this is a book that has a depth to it I didn’t expect. Debbie Johnson has written a moving story that’s full of both shade and light, plucking at your heartstrings as you’re swept along on Jess’s journey, making you experience every emotion right along with her.
A beautiful and poignant story I would highly recommend.
