#BlogTour – #BookReview of #OneGoodLie by Jane Isaac @JaneIsaacAuthor @canelo_co @damppebbles #damppebblesblogtours

I’m delighted to welcome you today to my stop on the blog tour for gripping psychological thriller One Good Lie by Jane Isaac. Thank you to Emma Welton and Canelo for giving me the opportunity to read and review this fabulous book.

Book Blurb:

Her sister’s boyfriend. Her worst nightmare.

On the night of her mother’s wake, Ewan kisses a shocked Ruby. They both agree to pretend that the kiss never happened – in fact, according to Ewan, no one even needs to know he walked Ruby home.

Because Ewan is seeing Ruby’s sister, Sophie. He’s been wonderful to Sophie, comforting her after her mother’s murder and taking care of her little kids, too. In short, he’sbeen the perfect boyfriend. This was just a stupid mistake.

But when Ruby learns of another woman’s murder close to Ewan’s route home on the night of the kiss, she fears that her lie has left her sister in terrible danger.

After all, how well do the sisters really know Ewan? How well do they know each other? And are they sure they know the truth about what really happened on the day their mother died?

A gripping and unputdownable thriller that will keep you guessing into the early hours of the morning. Perfect for fans of Claire McGowan, Sue Watson, and Jackie Kabler.

My Review:

One Good Lie by Jane Isaac is a gripping page turner of a standalone psychological thriller that kept me reading long into the night. With a tense and fast paced plot that kept me guessing throughout, this was a book that had plenty of twists and turns to keep me on my toes throughout.

Struggling to come to terms with the murder of their mother, Sophie and Ruby decide to give her the send off she deserves. But after one drink too many, Ruby allows her sister’s boyfriend Ewan to walk her home. She’s shocked when he makes a pass at her, but decides not to mention anything to Sophie as Ewan has been her sister’s rock since the death of their mother. But when Ruby hears of another murder close to Ewan’s route home on the night of the kiss, she begins to fear she’s made a terrible mistake. After all, how much do the sisters actually know about Ewan? Or of what actually happened on the night of their mother’s murder? And now Ruby is terrified that her lie on the night of the wake has put her sister in terrible danger…

I thoroughly enjoyed One Good Lie with its addictive and suspense filled storyline. Jane Isaac’s first foray into psychological suspense is fabulous, with strong writing, a gripping plot and characters you can’t help but root for. A fantastic page turner of a thriller that I would highly recommend, I can’t wait to read whatever this talented author has in store for us next!
