#BlogTour – #BookReview of #RockPaperScissors by Alice Feeney @alicewriterland @hqstories

I’m excited to welcome you today to my stop on the blog tour for exceptional thriller Rock Paper Scissors by the always incredible Alice Feeney. Thank you to Sian Baldwin and HQ for giving me the opportunity to read and review this wonderful book.

About the book:

Soon to be a Netflix series from the producer of The Crown

The phenomenal new thriller from the bestselling author of Sometimes I Lie

‘Not just fiendish but positively Feeneyish – dark, ingenious and very clever’ Cara Hunter, author of Close to Home

Ten years of marriage.
Ten years of secrets.
An anniversary they’ll never forget.

Adam and Amelia are spending the weekend in the Scottish Highlands. The remote location is perfect for what they have planned.

But when their romantic trip takes a dark turn, they both start to wonder – can they trust the one they’re with?

Because every couple tells little white lies. Only for Adam and Amelia, the truth is far more dangerous.

About the author:

Alice Feeney is a writer and journalist. She spent fifteen years at the BBC where she worked as a reporter, news editor, arts and entertainment producer and One O’clock news producer.

Her debut novel, Sometimes I Lie, was a New York Times and international bestseller. The book has been sold in over twenty countries and is being made into a TV series by a major film studio, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. Her third novel His and Hers is soon to be a major TV show with Jessica Chastain as executive producer.

My Review:

Wow, where do I even begin? Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney is one of those books that’s almost impossible to review other than to say:

‘What are you waiting for? Go read it NOW!’

To say much more than that would do this book a disservice, as this is a story that needs to be read and experienced for yourself without knowing too much about it beforehand. So do yourself a favour, buy yourself a copy right now and start reading it today!

One of the few things I feel safe to tell you is that the story begins with Adam and Amelia going away for a romantic weekend in the remote Scottish Highlands. But when the romantic trip takes a dark turn the couple begin to wonder if there’s anyone they can trust. Anyone at all. Even each other…

I don’t know how she does it, but once again Alice Feeney has written a superbly plotted, dark and twisted story that keeps you guessing throughout. Her writing is sharp, her characterisation perfect and the plot is quite simply pure brilliance from beginning to end.

Rock Paper Scissors is so good I read the whole thing in one sitting, something that doesn’t happen very often these days. With twists, turns, shocks and surprises that will make you gasp out loud, this is a chilling read that I absolutely adored!

An exceptional read that I would highly recommend.

Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney is available to purchase now.
