For my second post of the day I’m pleased to welcome you to my stop on the blog tour for gorgeous holiday read The Summer Trip by Isabelle Broom. Thank you to Hodder & Stoughton for giving me the opportunity to read and review this lovely book.
About the book:

. What if your life worked out perfectly . . . for someone else?
It’s been 18 years since Ava spent the summer on the Greek island of Corfu, but she has never forgotten what happened during those months – or who she left behind.
Now single, estranged from her family, and preparing to wave her daughter off to university, Ava’s life seems a million miles away from the one she dreamed about as a teenager – a life now being lived by her sister instead.
When Ava decides to return to Corfu for the summer, she knows she must finally face the place and the people that broke her heart. But with old resentments festering, long-buried secrets lurking, and familiar feelings resurfacing, it looks set to be a holiday that will change all their lives forever. . .

My Review:

The Summer Trip by Isabelle Broom is a heartwarming summer read that will instantly transport you to the hot and sunny climate of the beautiful island of Corfu. Beautifully written, this is a lovely story that will steal your heart from the very first page.
The Summer Trip is the story of three sisters as they embark on a summer that will change their lives forever. Ava is estranged from her family, single and about to see her daughter go off to university. Living a life far from the one she dreamed of as a teenager, Ava decides to return to Corfu for the summer to face the place and the people who broke her heart.
But as old resentments simmer and long buried secrets begin to come to the surface, will the trip bring the three sisters back together again…. or force them even further apart.
The Summer Trip is the perfect read to relax with this summer as you sip margaritas by the pool. Multilayered and with characters you can’t help but care about, this is a story of family, secrets, loyalty and new beginnings that I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end.
Isabelle Broom has written the perfect summer read and The Summer Trip is a book that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
