About the book:

One Last Secret … would you kill to keep it?

Another incredible domestic thriller from the Sunday TimesNumber One bestselling author of sensational books like Both Of You

One last client

A week at a beautiful chateau in the south of France – it should be a straightforward final job for Dora. She’s a smart, stunning and discreet escort and Daniel has paid for her services before. This time, all she has to do is convince the assembled guests that she is his girlfriend. Dora is used to playing roles and being whatever men want her to be. It’s all about putting on a front.

One last chance

It will be a last, luxurious look at how the other half lives, before Dora turns her back on the escort world and all its dangers. She has found someone she loves and trusts. With him, she can escape the life she’s trapped in. But when Dora arrives at the chateau, it quickly becomes obvious that nothing is what it seems…

One last secret

Dora finds herself face to face with a man she has never forgotten, the one man who really knows her. And as old secrets surface, it becomes terrifyingly apparent that one last secret could cost Dora her life…

My Review:

One Last Secret is the blistering hot new thriller by acclaimed author Adele Parks. A difficult book to review without giving too much away, it is a brilliantly written, twisty thriller that once started you do not want to put down. A fabulous summer read, One Last Secret is the perfect book to relax with as we head into this hot July weekend.

Dora is about to settle down with the man of her dreams, someone she loves and trusts, who can offer her the escape she craves. But before she does, she’s decided to do one last job as an escort for a wealthy man who she’s worked for before. One last chance to see how the other half live before she settles down. All she has to do is travel to a chateau in the South of France and convince the guests that she is her client’s girlfriend.

But all does not go to plan and Dora finds herself confronted by a ghost from the past. A ghost who knows who she really is. So, as long hidden secrets begin to surface, it soon becomes apparent that one last secret could possibly cost Dora her life…

What follows is a suspense filled thriller that keeps you on your toes throughout. Adele Park’s writing is as sharp as ever as she weaves a dark tale of power and revenge that I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end.

One Last Secret is a sizzling hot summer read that I would highly recommend.
