Snowed in for Christmas by Sarah Morgan is the perfect read to escape with as the nights grow colder and we move towards the festive season. You always know the countdown to Christmas is on when a new book by this author is released, and this one is a pure delight from beginning to end!
In Snowed in for Christmas we meet Lucy Clarke who is not only facing the prospect of losing her job, but also facing a sad and isolated Christmas alone after the death of her much loved grandmother two years ago. So when she has an idea that could very well bring in the business she needs, she decides to deliver the proposal to businessman Ross Miller in person, arriving in the Scottish Highlands just as the Miller family are about to gather for the Christmas holidays. Arriving on the Miller’s snow covered doorstep, Lucy is mistaken for Ross’s girlfriend. And then, just as the confusion is cleared up, a storm hits which leaves Lucy stranded in the midst of a tense Christmas gathering – with a family that isn’t hers…
Oh my word, what an absolute delight this book is from start to finish! Set against the backdrop of the beautiful Scottish Highlands, Sarah Morgan has written yet another warm and heartfelt story with family values and romance at its heart. With a larger than life cast of characters and a heartwarming story of family conflict, romance and new beginnings, this is a book that will leave you with a warm and happy glow as you turn the final page.
I loved everything about Snowed in for Christmas. From the magic of Christmas to a sprinkling of romance, Sarah Morgan has written a delightful tale that will make you laugh out loud one moment and move you to tears the next. But most importantly of all, it will transport you to a place far away from the harsh realities of the real world, something I’m sure we could all do with a little bit of right now.
I always know I’m in safe hands with Sarah Morgan and Snowed in for Christmas is pure escapism at its very best. I loved it!
