I’m delighted to welcome you today to my stop on the final day of the blog tour for the wonderful and moving Maybe Next Time by Cesca Major. Thank you to Anne Cater and Harper Fiction for giving me the opportunity to read and review this gorgeous book.
About the book:

Even the greatest love stories end. But what if this one didn’t have to?
Emma is having the worst day of her life.
Frustrating. Chaotic. And the only person who could make it better is gone by the end of the day.
Yet even worse than all of that: Emma keeps waking up to the same day, over and over again.
But what if this is a sign things could be different?
Can Emma change the heartbreaking end to this love story?

My Review:
Maybe Next Time by Cesca Major is an emotional and life affirming read that I completely and utterly adored from beginning to end. Beautifully written, it’s a gorgeous but moving read that had me fighting back the tears as I turned the final page. .
Emma is having the worst day of her life. Everything that could go wrong does go wrong. And then, at the end of the day, something happens that will change her life forever. But then, when she wakes up in the morning, she finds herself reliving the same day over and over again, seemingly unable to change how the day ended. But what if it is possible for things to be different? Can Emma change the heartbreaking end to her day? Or is she destined to be stuck in this never ending loop forever?
So she continues to live the same day over and over again, changing little things on some days, bigger things on others as she begins to see what really matters in her life and how much those she loves mean to her. There’s her husband Dan, the man she adores but hasn’t been paying enough attention to recently. And then there are her two children, Poppy and Miles, as well as her sister-in-law and best friend Hattie, all of whom have their own problems that need to be solved. Will Emma ever finally be able to break free of the cycle and open her eyes to a brand new day at last?
With a moving and at times harrowing storyline and a simply unforgettable cast of characters, Maybe Next Time is one of those books that works its way under your skin as it lifts you up and sweeps you away on an emotional rollercoaster of a journey that is sure to melt even the hardest of hearts.
A heartachingly beautiful book that will tear your heart to shreds, Maybe Next Time is a life affirming and tender read about love, loss, grief, family and friendship that captures your heart from the very first page. Told in the form of letters throughout the years written by Dan and Emma’s perspective of the never ending day, this is a book that had me fighting back the tears as it moved towards an ending that completely took my breath away.
Cesca Major has written a stunning novel that blew me away and I honestly can’t wait to read whatever she comes up with next.
Highly recommended.
